Abbeyleix 7-a-side Astroturf

The 7 a side AstroTurf pitch was built in 2003 partly from the proceeds of National Lottery funds. The income from the pitch has been successfully used in developing the Parking, Lighting Roadway and maintenance of Fr Breen Memorial Park. The pitch is primarily used for soccer, Hockey and juvenile hurling and is suitable for an array of sports activities. It is also used as an overflow training area by the Soccer club and is the home of Abbeyleix Junior Hockey Club. The pitch is available for parties, Summer camps and general training area. The pitch is fully floodlight and is suitable for year round use.  The pitch is available to book on selected weeknights and at weekends.
