Sarah Delany
Sarah studied Fine art at the Byam Shaw School of Painting and Drawing in London and Production Design at the National Film School Ireland IADT Dun Laoighaire Her work is concerned with fleeting moments, with emphasis on texture and light . Sarah combines teaching /painting/family and animals .She has been facilitating art classes since 2003 and a VEC tutor since 2005 working in community arts. Before coming to Ireland sarah worked as an art director in television she has used that experience to work with groups that are interested in making short films . Sarah has had 4 solo shows and exhibited in many group shows in Ireland and the uk. Sarah was this years recipient of the Tryone Guthrie awarded by the laois Arts office as well as an art act grant for her on going art practice.
