Welcome to Abbeyleix Business and Community Website.  We hope that site will help you in looking at and for the various attractions offered by the town of Abbeyleix and its locality.  We aim to provide a single point which will give you all the necessary information about the various businesses, sports clubs, local groups and associations.

Abbeyleix Business & Community Development Forum was set up in April 2010 as a representative body to act as an umbrella organisation for the many stakeholders in the town and its neighbouring villages in planning and implementing a series of measures to protect its vitality in the future.  The by-pass of Abbeyleix has provided a reason for this.  While the expected reduction in traffic volumes will certainly be welcomed by the community as a whole it also may represent a threat to the business community.  We are clear that both the business and the community will need to act to ensure that we unite to maintain the vibrancy of the community as a whole.
